  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist with the inpatient management of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients including preoperative, perioperative and postoperative care
    • Rotating 24 hour First Call for the CVT service among two
    • First assist in CVT surgeries
    • Round on inpatients, coordinate interdisciplinary care with Medical teams
    • Consult on ER patients, providing diagnosis, appropriate plan of care and referrals as appropriate
    • Order, interpret and analyze diagnostic tests
    • Prescribe medications as necessary
    • Work within a multidisciplinary team
